The Skin Of Our Teeth

Morning again

In streets I can’t recall

Stumbling through

Memories I can’t recall

And nothing I say

Makes any sense at all

But I assume

No one listens anyway

My life

A simulacrum of waste

A tear in the rain

For those who practice what they preach

The skin of our teeth

I’ll see you once again

By the skin of our teeth

We made it back here once again

The skin of our teeth

I’ll see you once again

By the skin of our teeth

We made it back here once again

By the skin of our teeth

The drugs that kept me awake

From making you and all of this real

And if I would starve

Then let the birds pick my bones clean

Whatever I say

Should be interpreted like this

A chemical slur

And for the nonsense that it is
